County ends burn ban

The Wichita County Commissioners Court, as part of their Tuesday, November 12 meeting, voted to  lift the county burn ban immediately.

The 90-day burn ban was instituted to last from August 22 to November 20; however, due to the improving ground conditions from recent heavy rains, it has officially been lifted as of Tuesday, Nov. 12.
