Playoff info: Lady Hawks win bi-district; face Llano Thursday

The Iowa Park Lady Hawks defeated Comanche, 25-20, 25-17, 26-24 in the Class 3A Division I Bi-District game played at Weatherford on Tuesday.

Standouts for Iowa Park include Bethany Blackwell 16 kills; Micah Coombes 6 kills, 5 blocks; Cate McAlister 10 kills, 8 digs; Campbell Brown 7 kills, 5 digs; Mikayla Miller 24 assists, 8 digs; Jenna Green 11 assists, 13 digs.

The Lady Hawks advance to play the Llano Yellowjackets on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Stephenville. Llano (25-7) is the big school No. 1 seed out of District 5.  They beat Sweetwater in the bi-district round 25-14, 24-26, 25-19, 25-13.

The two teams are evenly matched and have identical results against three common opponents. Both beat Legacy and lost to Caprock. Llano beat Jacksboro two sets to 1 while Iowa Park swept Jacksboro in two district matches.
