Lady Hawks regular season ends — playoff seeding awaits

Iowa Park defeated Jacksboro, 22-25, 25-22, 25-19, 26-24 on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Standouts for the Lady Hawks include Cate McAlister 12 kills; Bethan Blackwell 10 kills, 4 blocks; Micah Coombes 6 kills; Cailyn Johns 8 kills, 15 digs; Hannah Stewart 22 digs; Mikayla Miller 22 assists, 6 digs; Jenna Green 14 assists, 9 digs. Stewart set a single match high of 22 digs for the season and Miller passed the 1,500 assist mark for her high school career.

Playoff seeding update
The Lady Hawks playoff fate is still to be decided in District 7-3A.
With the split to two divisions, the Lady Hawks could still nab the No. 1 seed for Division 1, or be the second seed, and they have no say in the matter.
The Lady Hawks need for Vernon to grab the fourth place spot over Jacksboro in the district. That is pending a tie-breaker game scheduled for Friday afternoon in Wichita Falls. If Vernon wins that game and finishes 4th, then Holliday (364 enrollment) would be the 1 seed and Henrietta (295) the 2 seed in Division 2. Iowa Park (541 enrollment) would be the 1 seed and Vernon (496) the 2 seed in Division 1. A Jacksboro win and 4th place finish makes Henrietta the No. 1 seed and Jacksboro (348 enrollment) the 2 seed in Division 2; with
